WEEK ONE: HILLCREST 31 EASLEY 7
AUDIO HIGHLIGHTS
EASLEY, S.C. - The Drive's Friday Night Light's High School Game of the Week opened up at Easley for the second straight season with a pair of teams looking to improve on last year's final record.

Both the Green Wave and Hillcrest won three games a year ago. But it was the Rams who grabbed the early momentum in this one, scoring on their first play from scrimmage and rolling over Easley, 31-7.

Tailback Aaron Davenport rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Rams (1-0), while Anthony McNeil turned in the night's best highlight - a 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter that gave his team a 28-7 lead.

Easley's (0-1) only score came on a 9-yard touchdown pass from freshman quarterback Zach Lappin to wideout Trevin Franklin on the first play of the final period.

Next week Tom, Tosh and I head to Anderson for the huge intra-city matchup between Westside and T.L. Hanna. Kickoff at Westside High School is 7:30 p.m. Our pregame show begins at 6:30 p.m.

WEEK TWO: HANNA 20 WESTSIDE 7
AUDIO HIGHLIGHTS
ANDERSON, S.C. - The first salvo fired in this year's Battle of Anderson came from T.L. Hanna.

The Yellow Jackets and first-year coach Kenya Fouch scored twice in the second half to snap a 7-7 tie and beat host Westside, 20-7. The victory was the first at Hanna for Fouch, and sets the tone for the rematch later in the season - a game which will count in the region standings.

Dajun Martin threw three touchdown passes on the night - two to Quentin Peyton and a third to Dominique Ellis, a simple swing pass the little tailback turned into a 75-yard score.

Westside's only score came with less than a minute to go in the first half, a 10-yard pass from Tavius Jackson to Matthew Levine.
