Listeners of the Tiger Pre-Game Show can expect weekly injury reports, traffic updates, game analysis, predictions and one-on-one interviews with head coach Tommy Bowden, defensive coordinator Vic Koenning and the impact players on the team!

The Tiger Pre-Game Show with Roy Philpott and Scott Rhymer ... stop by and see us at the Lawn at Littlejohn before every Clemson home game, and tune in when the Tigers hit the road as Roy and Scott broadcast live on location from around the ACC!

Philpott Bio

* Roy's first memory of Clemson football dates back to the mid-1980's during a homecoming game against Virginia. After visiting a stadium packed with crazed fans covered in orange on game day, not to mention Tigerama the night before, he knew he would eventually end up at Clemson when given the opportunity.

That opportunity finally came in the 1990's when Roy enrolled at Clemson. He later graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. After working in the corporate world for three years, Roy started CUTigers.com in 2001 and has worked fulltime covering Clemson sports since 2002. CUTigers The Magazine was launched around the same time and has now grown to be the largest independent magazine covering Clemson sports.

Roy has also appeared on numerous local and regional sports talk shows, including every show on 104.9 FM WCCP The Drive and most major radio stations around the state.

"We also look forward to taking the Tiger Pre-game Show on the road again," Philpott said. "It's hard to believe that Scott and I will have broadcast a pre-game show for last 70+ games (home and away) by the end of the 2008 season."

Rhymer Bio

* Scott Rhymer’s first memory of Clemson football was the 1977 South Carolina game, and as they say, the rest is history. Scott has been a season ticket holder at Clemson since 1980, attending all home games since that year.

In 1997, Scott began working with the late Tommy Powell at WCCP 104.9 during Powell’s afternoon call in show. Soon after, Scott teamed up with Alyson Haley to create and host a Sunday afternoon sports talk show on WCCP 104.9 FM. At the time, it was the only local sports talk show on Sunday anywhere in the state of South Carolina.

In 2003, Scott and Roy teamed up to revamp the Tiger Pre-game Show on WCCP that has evolved over four seasons to be the product that you will hear this year. Scott and Roy have broadcast the pre game show from every game since 2003, including bowl games.

Scott is now a correspondent for Tigernet.com in addition to his work with WCCP.

“The Tiger Pre-game Show is a truly unique show in the world of college football. Very few radio stations devote the amount of time and coverage that WCCP does to the Clemson football game day experience,” Rhymer said. “I feel honored to be a part of it and to try and make the show as informative as possible so fans will make it an integral part of their game day experience.”
